Step 1: It starts with identifying the core issue or your problem.
Step 2: Rate your problem based on its intensity on a scale of 1 to 10. If you are experiencing extreme pain, then 10 and no pain, then zero. In short, rate your discomfort.
Step 3: At this step, you are aware of your problem and its intensity. Therefore, at this point, you need to say your setup statement aloud. The standard format of the setup statement is:
“Even though I am having _____ problem. I completely accept myself and my body.”
Your reason for emotional distress could be anything. For instance, indigestion, body pain, fear of getting Corona, diabetes, etc. With this setup statement, mention the problem and accept yourself completely. Say this set up a statement for three times, tapping on the Karate chop point.
Step 4: There are eight points where you need to tap in a cycle to finish one round of tapping. While tapping on these points (eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, under the arm, and top of the head), remind your mind of the problem. You need to tap each point a minimum of ten times. Do three rounds of this cycle, and do not forget to speak the issue as it is, exactly as going on in your mind.
Step 5: Once you are done with three rounds, take a deep breath. Inhale from your nose and exhale from your mouth. Do this three to five times.
Step 6: Now, check your emotional distress levels. Have they come down? How would you rate after three rounds of EFT tapping? If you have found some relief, you can move ahead to do a few positive rounds while tapping on the eight points. Now, you need to say positive affirmations. After three rounds, do deep breathing and, in the end, have some water. It helps in flushing out the toxins.
