Apart from these two vices, drugs like opioids or dangerous narcotics like heroin are a significant fad among students today. In the year 2016, 4000 teenagers died from a drug overdose.

This is another chronic health affliction common among plenty of high school students today. Lack of physical exercise and sedentary lifestyles significantly contribute to this issue. Teens regularly eat high fatty foods and aerated drinks, which contain tons of calories, and this increases their waistlines. Both boys and girls now form social relationships on social media instead of facial interaction. This is another reason; they avoid walking, exercise, and physical exertion.

Pollution is another major factor, which is affecting the health of teenagers, particularly in countries like India. Due to air pollution, water pollution, and noise pollution, which the youth are exposed to regularly, their health is getting affected drastically.

Due to the very high cost of health care, many teens, particularly from lower-income households, don’t have access to good doctors and health facilities. So, this leaves them highly vulnerable to fatal diseases.
